The Montelucia

While in Scottsdale, we stayed at the beautiful Montelucia Resort, known for its southern spain architecture and accents/ amazing pools- we were definitely a HUGE step up from our guesthouses in Asia!





They had a whole colony of rabbits living in the resort, I definitely scared this one away!




 The Montelucia is right in front of Camelback Mountain, which is the location of a legendary steep-hiking trail that ends with a perfect 360 degree view of Scottsdale.

Soleri through B's Lens

Have you heard of Paolo Soleri? He was born in Italy in 1919 and studied architecture under Frank Llyod Wright. He now resides in Scottsdale, Arizona, casting the most beautiful bronze bells. These bronze and some ceramic bells are huge works of art, displaying his central theme of "arcology" or architecture combined with ecology. We were lucky enough to find his workshop and see the casting of several bronze bells.
