Back to Normal...

I hope everyone's holidays were amazing, over in Coeur D'alene, we lucked out with a beautiful white Christmas! 

As for Christmas day, we started with great stocking stuffers (gag glasses and mustaches made for an interesting morning) and spent the rest of the day with family, drinking homemade eggnog, and eating far too many sweets!  

It seems like the holidays and this past year flew by...and I can't believe that 2012 is right around the corner!

Wanderlust Wednesday: North Pole

It's only fitting that I feature the North Pole this Wednesday.  Well technically, it's not the North Pole, but Northern Finland, where Santa Claus lives... seriously.  I'm pretty convinced that Finland needs to be on my travel list, apart from that fact that I am part finnish (?), Finland offers cool igloo hotels, the northern lights, and now a Santa Claus village, I mean what more could you want!

It would be hard to decide between spending the holidays at the Christmas house in the Adirondacks or Santa Claus Village.

How to Wrap a Present...

I fail in the present wrapping department. I can never get the corners folded sharply, or the tape to stick, or I accidentally rip the paper and have to start all over...but if I could wrap presents, I would try out these:

Isn't that a good idea to use ticket stubs and a measuring tape as ribbon? Wish I had thought of that!

I'm hoping that these gift wrapping techniques will inspire me to stop procrastinating and wrap the many birthday/christmas gifts that are sitting in my closet!
