Travel Essentials: Sandals

Sandals:
Vera Woven Sandal: Stuart and Wright
Crisscross Boardwalk Sandal: Madewell
Zanzibar Heel Sandals: Not on High Street
Handmade Leather Sandals: Tuto

* Every time I travel I look for the perfect sandal...one you can dress up or down and still walk an entire city without so much as a blister.
My favorite so far has been the Gizeh Thong Sandal by Birkenstock. It looks a little fancier than a flip flop, but it has some serious support. This was the only sandal that I brought to Asia and it lasted me for five months of hard, hard walking. The sole did start to come off, but it was nothing a little shoe goo couldn't fix!

  2. Ah, this is so great! What would you recommend for a month of backpacking europe in the summer? Sandals sound so great but I do NOT want blisters.

    New follower, by the way!

  3. Jes- I've never tried those old navy ones, i'll definitely give em a shot!

and Daryl, Thanks for stopping by! Seriously, I am a hard-core birkenstock's fan. I know they are kinda "hippie" but they last and once you break them in you can walk all day! Great support (although i'm not a huge fan of the other styles, just the Gizeh)
