I can't believe it is that time again to say goodbye to Brian. He ships off Monday for Alaska, where he fishes for salmon. I don't know how people stand long distance relationships, because the thought of another summer alone is awful, but hopefully the next 11 weeks will be filled with good friends and amazing weather! I'm pretty sure I will just try to keep occupied with too many pinterest crafts and reality TV! I can't remember if I shared any of Brian's photos from last summer up in Alaska, so I will share a few of the photos he took so you can see Alaska through the eyes of a commercial fisherman! (They are all iphone photos because it is much easier than pulling out a camera while on deck).
Wow, gorgeous photos! I think the next 11 weeks will fly by for you... I hope! :-)

DeleteThis is really random... but... another one of my friends left for commercial fishing in Alaska Monday! By any chance does your Brian know a Brian Montalbo??? How weird would it be if they were on the same boat!? Hope the next 11 weeks flllyyy by and the fishing God's are in your hubby's favor :)

Really! I will ask if he knows him! Do you know what boat he is on? My finger's are definitely crossed that the fishing gods are in his favor :)
DeleteWow I had no idea he was a fisherman! So does he love eating salmon at home or is he sick of it after seeing it all days? haha! Hope these weeks fly by for you!
ReplyDeleteHe is absolutely obsessed with salmon though his captain won't even eat it! He brings home something like 500 pounds of fish, so we definitely get to eat well during the winter!
