wanderlust wednesday: mackinac island, michigan

Voted as one of the top places to spend the 4th of July, Michigan's Mackinac Island, harkens back to a simpler time in America.

This sleepy little island, located in Lake Huron,  bans vehicles, so the main modes of transportation are horse drawn carriages and bicycles.

PhotoIf you are in need of leisurely afternoons and colonial towns that ooze American, then Mackinac Island is your kind of place!
