101 Books We Can't Live Without

Have you ever checked out Daily Candy? You should! Daily Candy is a procrastinators best friend, literally there is hours and hours of wonderful content to be sifted through.

One of their recent posts is 101 Books We Can't Live Without, and the list is great! It contains a hefty list of must reads, from the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, to Anna Karenina. There is definitely a lot on this list I have yet to read, so I'm off to the bookstore to track down a few of these great reads...

Stones into Schools and Half the Sky

We both just finished reading Stones into Schools. Stones into Schools is the sequel to Three Cups of Tea, but is written by Greg Mortenson. Greg's second book gives the readers insight on his day to day happenings, both in the US and Afghanistan, all the while continuing with the important message of promoting peace through literacy.
You can support Greg's mission at http://www.stonesintoschools.com/ or http://www.ikat.org/. Also, if you haven't read it yet, pick up Half the Sky by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn- Greg draws a lot from Half the Sky and it is a book that once opened is hard to put down!
