We headed off on our scooters down the road to Seminyak Beach, which we heard was a "world away" from the craziness of Kuta, but its exactly the same- go figure! Anyways, we left our bags at dump #2 and headed to Tanah Lot Temple. It was built in the 16th century and is perched on top of a rock, surrounded by water. A pretty amazing site, although half of the rock is now fake to save the temple from erosion. The pictures are amazing although we haven't uploaded them yet-sorry!
As for Balinesian food, well it's no Melaka- we are missing our coconut curries, muslim food, and Indian thalis! Although we did have a specially made Balinesian pop tart for breakfast; they are called Jaffles and they smoosh two pieces of white bread together and fill it with a red substance that they call jam, although it tastes more like sugar with red food color #40- as Rachel Ray would say, "Yummo."
For some reason it is hard to find wifi (pronounced Wifey, in bahasa) so be patient with us, we will try and get to a place where we can update more frequently- short of sitting in a KFC- we really don't want to eat that much fried chicken!
