My secret not so secret dream is to move to Slovenia, restore an old farm house, and turn it into a B&B. Every time I tell someone this dream of mine, I hear back "where the hell is Slovenia!"
To answer this once an for all, Slovenia is located on the eastern side of the Adriatic Sea, right across the water from Italy, and smashed in the middle of Croatia and Austria.
This tiny idyllic country of only two million people is referred to as "Europe in miniature," because it has all Europe has to offer rolled into this small country! It is also supposedly the greenest country in Europe, beating Switzerland!
It would make for the perfect (cheaper) home base in Europe, and who wouldn't want to live in a place that offered all the best Europe has to offer, from the beach, to medieval cities, to the alps!
