This past weekend we drove 40 minutes out to Snohomish in search of pumpkins. We found our pumpkins, and topped off the freezing cold excursion with hot apple cider, carmel apples, and a little kettle corn. We were going to attempt the corn maze, but the 60 people in front of us had the same idea, so we took our perfectly picked pumpkins on home.

Fantastic photos! I love going to the pumpkin patch but I hate carving pumpkings... it's just too much work! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI agree w/ you there! I make my husband, because his turn out perfect and mine looks like a 3 year old took a knife to it!
Deletei love pumpkin picking!! and your photos are awesome. my favorite are those white pumpkins, it just needs a monogram and you are set :-)
ReplyDeleteAhh, agreed! It would be the prettiest table pumpkin!
DeleteCute! It amazes me how big this pumpkin-picking malarky is over here in the USA. I'd never been pumpkin picking until I moved to the USA this year.
ReplyDeleteReally!? I wondered if it was a US only thing or not...It definitely is big in Washington, but we have so many farms close by so it makes it easier to head out to find pumpkins!
DeleteLove your photos! We got ours this weekend too!
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous fall photos! I love the colours and that cute twisty up-do!
ReplyDeleteI've never been pumpkin picking, at least as an adult, and now I'm thinking this is something I should do.
Also, I discovered the kettle corn at the St Jacobs farmers' market here (near Waterloo), and I'm currently obsessed! Nom!
Thanks Colleen! And Kettle corn is definitely the best invention as of late! I could eat a whole bag in one sitting!
DeleteAnd you need to get out and pumpkin pick...though don't go on the weekends, we were bombarded by crying kids trying to steal our pumpkins :)
i've never been to a real live pumpkin farm where the pumpkins are actually gorwing in the ground!
ReplyDeleteReally!? You need to find one and go! Its so much more fun to pluck em off their vines...
DeleteI've always wanted to go to a pumpkin farm!
ReplyDeleteThey are pretty cool, though don't go on the weekends, it's not as peaceful as you would thing :)
DeleteGorgeous pumpkin patch and photos! Have the extremely warty and white pumpkins become popular in your area? Because that's all I can find in Arkansas it seems like. I also read that pumpkins are becoming the new superfood. Does that mean that all of the pumpkin pie and pumpkin spice lattes I consume are making me healthy? I sure hope so :)
ReplyDelete-Jess
I totally hope that means we can gorge on anything and everything pumpkin! I'm with you, on the pumpkin pie and pumpkin lattes! Oh and we have the weird warty yellow ones, but not a lot of white ones yet around here!
DeleteI love these takes. Truly great talent you have for photography. I'm actually struggling having these kind of shoot even from simple takes.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jesse! I wish I could claim them all, but my husband is actually the photographer :)
DeleteAh what a fun idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Love me some pumpkin picking! do they do that in Germany? I feel like it would be the same climate/ perfect for growing pumpkins?
