One of my favorite cocktails is a Pisco Sour. Have you ever had one? It is a delicately flavored citrus cocktail with a float of whipped egg whites. It sounds bizarre, but the flavor is amazing and slightly tart yet creamy!
Anyways, one of my favorite blogs, Happy Yolks, featured a Pisco Sour and I learned that it is the national drink of both Chile and Peru (it originated in Lima, Peru).
A traditional Pisco Sour goes a little something like this:
3 oz. pisco (a colorless grape brandy)
3/4 oz. simple syrup (1:1) or 2 tsp. sugar
1 oz. lemon juice, fresh-squeezed
1 fresh egg white (pasteurized if you like)
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Tools: shaker, strainerGlass: cocktail or goblet
All images are from Happy Yolks! You can head over there to read about their Pisco Sour recipe and two other takes on the Pisco Sour.
This sounds so interesting! I've never heard of it before, but would definitely be up for giving it a try :)

Definitely sounds like an odd combination, but I'd be interested in trying it for sure.
