Happy Friday! Hope you had a nice Valentine's Day...we got stuck in an hour and a half of traffic and then had to scrape our dinner plans and go for something that was close by. We ended up eating at the Black Bottle in Belltown and it was delicious! We had an absolutely amazing lemon curd ricotta cheesecake to top off the meal. Now we are off to Chelan, Wa!

Happy Friday you all. We have a busy weekend planned. Friday, I am totally nerding out and seeing twilight...and then Saturday we are hosting a friendsgiving in our little apartment. I'm crossing my fingers that everyone will fit in here, but I guess getting cozy isn't a terrible thing. Brian and I are also doing the turkey...we have no idea what we are doing so I hope that it comes out edible! If not, a friend is bringing tofurky, so that will have to suffice!

And Sunday I am heading home to Coeur d'Alene for the week to play in the snow, eat good food, and hang out with family.

I can't believe it is already November! We've been living in our apartment for over a month now, but it feels as if we just moved in! I will share photos as soon as we finish building our dining room table, coffee table, desk, and tv rack (we have a lot of projects!). 

Anyway, my parents are heading over for a weekend of good food and rain. We plan to eat Ethiopian food tonight and then try somewhere new on Saturday...any recommendations!?

Happy Friday you all! I'm back in Coeur d'Alene to pick up most of my things that I left at my parents house, like shoes! My feet were pretty cold in flip flops! Anyway, I make the 5 hour trek back to Seattle this afternoon and can't wait to finally unpack and get settled into our new apartment. What do you all have planned for the weekend?

My Fiance gets back TODAY and I am so excited to see him, but it seems a little surreal still that he is back stateside... 
It has definitely been a long 10 weeks apart!

This weekend we are definitely going to do a lot of manscaping on him, because his beard is out of control! 
Besides cleaning up my salty fisherman, it will just be nice to hang out, without any plans at all. 
But if I had plans, I would be heading up to Sandpoint to go the Funky Junk antique show. They have tons of amazing antiques and last year I found the coolest metal milk crates...and i'm pretty sure I need about 10 more!

August is flying by far too fast! In a week, my childhood best friend gets married! In two weeks, it's labor day. And in two weeks + 1 day, I head back to Seattle to pick up my salty fisherman! In three weeks, I head to Mexico, and in 4 weeks, i'll be exchanging vows, barefoot on the beach.

Pretty crazy! I know this coming month is going to be a whirlwind, and in the middle of all that, I've got to find somewhere for us to live...I'm the queen of procrastination, so hopefully i'll get inspired to start crossing things off my to-do list! 

In the mean time, it's the weekend, and two great friends (and my favorite travel buddies) are heading into town and I am so excited to hear about their upcoming adventures!

We have another bachelorette party this weekend...mine!  Almost all of my girlfriends are making the trip from Seattle (and L.A.) to Coeur d'Alene and I am super excited to see them all! We are going to get our cowgirl on at a country bar on Friday and then Saturday, we are hanging on the lake and then it's bachelorette party time...don't worry we are going to border on "classy."

Hope everyone's week went as fast as mine did! I'm heading to Big Fork, Montana today for a bachelorette/girls weekend! I am excited to head into Montana and am hoping between the mimosas and tanning, we can sneak in a good hike!

Speaking of hiking, I am reading Wild, by Cheryl Strayed. It is a book about the author's life and coming to grips with her mom's death while hiking the Pacific Crest Trail. I love it so far, and i'm not far from purchasing some boots, and heading out into the wilderness. Happy trails my friends!

What are you up to this weekend? We put our boat in the water yesterday, 

so if i'm brave enough, I might go wake surfing (my favorite summer sport). 

There is also have a giant bike pub crawl on Saturday, so i'm excited to hop on my bike! 

The town of Coeur d'Alene has instantly tripled this past week 

and it is interesting to see this sleepy place turned into a resort town.

Did you know that Barbara Walters called this city "a little slice of heaven"?

As for this weekend, the town has tripled in size because it is Ironman, so people from around the world are here to swim 2.4 miles, bike 112, and run 26. I will gladly be relaxing on the sidelines, cheering, while drinking margaritas!

Happy Friday you all. This week seemed to fly by, which is always a good thing (unless you are on vacation). What do you have planned this weekend? We have a crew bbq to go to for Brian, who sadly leaves in two weeks :(. He's a salty fisherman and heads to Alaska to work on a commercial boat catching salmon, so now the countdown is on until he leaves. I feel like we need to do a bunch of speed dates to make up for all the time we will be apart. Any good date ideas?
